Maruti Suzuki has launched one of the best-selling cars in the country, Maruti Suzuki WagonR in a completely new avatar. The company has priced the base variant LXI of the new WagonR from Rs 5,39,500 while the top variant has been priced at Rs 6,81,000. The new WagonR has an advanced K-series dual jet, dual VVT engine with start-stop technology. It has been launched in 1.0 liter and 1.2-liter engine options.
New features include a 7-inch SmartPlay studio infotainment system
and many new features have been added to the new WagonR. It has a 7-inch SmartPlay Studio infotainment system with smartphone navigation, which comes with 4 speakers. The new WagonR offers better safety for its passengers with the HEARTECT platform. It comes with safety features including dual airbags, an antilock braking system (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), front seat belt reminder, a high-speed alert system, and rear parking sensors.
Hill-hold assist will prevent the car from rolling back on the slopes
The new WagonR also comes with a hill-hold assist in the AGS variant. This prevents the vehicle from rolling backward on steep slopes and in stop-start traffic. The new WagonR sports a dual-tone exterior with a sporty floating roof design and dynamic alloy wheels.
The new WagonR 1.0L and 1.2L ks Advance K-Series Dual Jet, Dual VVT engines have been given 16% more mileage than the previous WagonR.
Dual Jet, Dual VVT Technology with Cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) helps in delivering more mileage to the vehicle. It is available in both petrol and S-CNG options. According to Maruti Suzuki, the 1.0-liter petrol (VXI AGS) engine will deliver a mileage of up to 25.19 Kmpl, which is about 16% more than the outgoing model.
At the same time, its CNG variant will be able to run at the rate of 34.05 km/kg. This is about 5 percent more than the outgoing S-CNG model. According to the company, the factory-fitted S-CNG option is now available in both the LXI and VXI variants.
