Hyundai Motor India (Hyundai Motor India) exported 32,799 units of the Creta SUV in the year 2021 and with this it became India’s most exported SUV, registering a growth of 26.17 percent annually. Overall, Hyundai Motor India Limited exported 42,238 SUVs in 2021. In 2020, Hyundai exported 25,995 units of the Creta.
Hyundai Motor India exported a total of 42,238 SUV cars last year. In which models like Venue and Creta Grand were included. The export figure for the Venue stood at 7,698 units, while that for the Creta Grand was 1,741 units. With this milestone achievement, Hyundai maintains the leadership of the SUV sector in the domestic market for the calendar year 2021. The company said that Creta fulfills its commitment to the government’s ‘Make in India, Made for World’ model.

With Creta becoming India’s most exported SUV, Hyundai has emerged as the most loved brand in its overseas markets as well. This is also evidenced by the fact that Hyundai is India’s leading exporter with 2.62 lakh units exported so far and Creta accounts for more than 93 percent of the total SUV exports. Also, Venue also has a significant stake in it.
Kim further added, “Some global markets have shown a rapid recovery since COVID, leading to a sharp jump in demand. HMIL has a presence in over 100 countries across the world (6 continents Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Africa, and Australia) and produces a significant portion of Hyundai Motor Company’s global export hub. HMIL has also launched new models like Creta, i20, Verna, and Alcazar in select global markets. Similarly, the company has also started exporting the new N Line and LPG variants of the existing models to the South African and Peruvian markets respectively.
HMIL exported a total of 1,30,380 cars in the year 2021. The company registered a growth of 31.8 percent compared to 2020, despite the global semiconductor crisis and lockdown in several global markets. HMIL has registered a remarkable growth of 91 percent in its export orders on the back of the increasing popularity of the brand and increasing demand. HMIL has added four new markets Dominica, Chad, Ghana, and Laos to its export list.
